Royal Family Celebrates The Crowning Of King Charles In A Spectacular Coronation Ceremony

 An epochal event has transpired, with King Charles being formally crowned at his momentous coronation, marking the continuation of a centuries-old tradition in the wake of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II's passing last year.

The official ceremony took place at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday morning, attracting hordes of onlookers, including Prince Harry, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and other members of the royal family.

Millions, if not billions, of individuals worldwide also witnessed the proceedings. Charles recited the customary coronation oath and subsequently signed a pledge to serve his people.

He was later bestowed with St. Edward's Crown, a relic that has remained part of the lineage for over four centuries.

 Following his father's coronation, Prince William pledged his loyalty, and little Prince George was one of the service's four Pages. The procession is currently underway, transporting Charles and Queen Camilla back to Buckingham Palace via London's streets.

 The coronation ceremony was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, a responsibility that has been entrusted to Archbishops since the first coronation for William I the Conqueror in 1066.

 It's important to note that today's celebrations required significant preparation. As previously reported, Buckingham Palace was recently revamped to enable those involved to discuss the plan on a more private basis.

 In the lead-up to the event, Prince William, Kate, and their children were spotted rehearsing at Westminster.

In the days leading up to the coronation, throngs of supporters gathered outside, adorned in some rather impressive attire, to demonstrate their backing.

 Recall that Charles was propelled to the throne following QE2's demise in September, causing an uproar that gripped the world for weeks. Her funeral procession was also a spectacle to behold. 

Do remember that someone attempted to rush her coffin as people queued for up to 28 hours to pay their respects, resulting in his swift apprehension by law enforcement.

 Following her death, a lot of drama unfolded, particularly between the royal family and Prince Harry & Meghan Markle, after the couple's Netflix series blasted what they regarded as toxicity within the palace walls.

 Harry was reportedly excluded from Saturday's event due to his book "Spare."
