Amanda Bynes' Parents Speak Out on Their Daughter's Mental Health Struggles
Amanda Bynes' recent psychotic episode has raised concern about her well-being and health, although her parents, Lynn and Rick, are not considering another conservatorship for their daughter at this time.
According to a source with direct knowledge, Amanda had been living independently and pursuing cosmetology studies, and until recently, she appeared to be doing well.
Thus, her recent episode appeared to be an anomaly.
Despite not considering another conservatorship, Amanda's parents are deeply worried about her, as reported by the latest celebrity news.
They have taken comfort in the fact that Amanda was self-aware enough to recognize that she was in trouble, flagging down a car for help and calling 911 herself.
On Sunday morning, she was spotted walking naked near Downtown L.A. and was subsequently placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold.
Typically, 5150 holds last for 72 hours, although they can be extended if necessary. As many may recall, Amanda was previously under a conservatorship for almost a decade, which began in 2013 when she was struggling with her mental health.
However, her conservatorship ended a year ago tomorrow.
