The heart-wrenching announcement came from their 25-year-old daughter, True Whitaker, who expressed her deep sorrow, bidding farewell to her mother with a poignant message: "Goodbye Mommy, I love you forever and beyond. The most beautiful woman in the world... Thank you for teaching me every single thing I know. I'll see you in my dreams and I'll feel you in my heart."

The circumstances surrounding Keisha's untimely death remain unclear. Forest Whitaker and Keisha exchanged vows in 1996, their union originating from their meeting on the set of the 1994 film, "Blown Away." The couple also shares two other daughters, 27-year-old Sonnet and 32-year-old Autumn.

Reflecting on their early connection, Keisha once shared in an Ebony interview, "I had seen him in ‘A Rage in Harlem.' Right away, I thought Forest had a gentle soul and a nice spirit." However, despite the enduring love that fueled their marriage, the couple faced a challenging chapter in 2018 when Forest filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences."

Keisha Whitaker's departure at the age of 51 marks a profound loss, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and the memories of more than two decades of shared experiences with Forest Whitaker.
